Action Items
Action Items can be created in Merchant Ag PM and are Tasks assigned to a User or Operator for a Customer. Use the drop down arrow to view a list of all open Action Items. Locations can also use Merchant Mobile to create Action Items. Action Items can also be created for Locations using Intercompany Freight, details here. Users can receive an email when a new Action Item is assigned and a daily Summary email for all Pending Action Items. Learn more here.

Find or Add an Action Item
Search for an Action Item by selecting any field and click the Find button.
Add an Action Item
Click Add to create a new Action Item when assigns an ID automatically.
All Action Items begin with a Status of Pending.
Enter a Description, up to 40 alpha-numeric characters, which becomes the title of the Action Item.
Select a Location for the Action Item by using F12 to search or enter the Location ID.
Establish a Due date by entering a date in the mm/dd/yyyy format or select using the drop down calendar.
Enter a Time due using the 24 hour clock.
Action Items can be assigned to an Assigned User or Assigned Operator by entering the ID in either field. When the Assigned User has an email address on their profile, an email notification will be sent when the Action Item is saved. In addition, a daily Summary email will be sent listing all Action Items in a Pending Status. Learn about scheduling emails to Assigned Users here.
Use the Task Details section to include all the necessary steps and information needed to complete the Action Item.
Add a Customer to the Action Item by entering the Customer ID or search by Customer account ID or Name.
The Contact Name associated with the Customer is added automatically. Edit the Contact and Contact Phone fields to enter a different Contact for the Action Item.
Click Save to create a New Action Item now available Pending Action Item List accessed by clicking drop down menu available on the Icon.
The Route, Tank and Regulator fields can be used to create a Action Item for Oil & Energy. Select a Route, Tank and Regulator or select F12 to search in any field and indicate the Task details.
Resolution Details will be filled in when the Action Item is completed.
Complete an Action Item
Locate the Action Item by either using the Action Item List which displays the Title and Due Date for the Action Item, or click the Icon, or select the F12 function key.
Select the Status drop down menu and choose Complete which locks the Task Details field from additional changes.
Enter the Resolution Details and click Save.
The Status on Action Items can be changed at any time.
Cancel an Action Item
Locate the Action Item by either using the Action Item List which displays the Title and Due Date for the Action Item, or click the Icon, or select the F12 function key.
Select Cancelled from the Status drop down menu and click Save.
