Change BOM Component
Change Bill of Materials Component replaces an item on all BOM's with a new item. This can be used when an item is no longer available either temporarily or permanently.

In the Old Item field, enter the Item ID of the item being replaced or use F12 to search.
New Item will indicate the replacement Item ID. Enter the Item ID or use F12 to search.
Description of each item populates automatically when the Item ID is selected.
Units displays the Units of Measure for each item.
If necessary, use Conversion from Old to New to add a Conversion factor for the new item to match the quantity of the old item. For example, if the old item is oats by the ton and the new item is 50 lb bags of oats, a conversion factor of multiply by 40 should be entered so the quantity of the new item equals a ton.
This process does not update Brill with the new BOM. When the Brill import is run, changes to the BOM will be overwritten unless the same changes are made in Brill.
