Import Item Attributes

Item Attributes can be imported from a csv file to update many items at once. Attributes are used as a way to filter and group items for the online product catalog, which is an optional module forMerchant Ag. The attributes must already be set up under Inventory > Web > Access Item Attributes. An error report will be created with any attributes that are not valid.

Access

Grant permission to User Profiles in Access User Profiles > select a User Profile > Security > Inventory module > Item Maintenance > Import Item Attributes.

Select a Key. The csv file must have a column with one of these three values:

• Item ID
• Scan Code
• Vendor Item ID

As a Key is selected, an additional field(s) for Item ID, Scan Code or Vendor Item ID and Vendor ID become active. Select the column ID that contains the information.

Show On Website - The csv file can have a column that will update the Show on Website setting that is on the Web > Placement tab of Item Detail. The acceptable values are:

• 0 - No
• 1 - Yes, No Price, Not Sellable
• 2 - Yes, Priced, Not Sellable
• 3 - Yes, Priced, Sellable

Use to select the .csv file for the import.

Multiple Attributes types can be listed in the csv file, but must be in separate columns. In the example above, Gauge is in column 3 and Color is in column 4.
