Access Tanks Detail Tank Linking

Tank Linking is a method of creating Oil & Energy delivery orders more efficiently by linking tanks that share the same billing customer together. This new functionality is only available by navigating to Merchant Ag FIN > Admin > Installation > Access Parameters > PF > Options and selecting the new parameter, Enable Tank Linking for Dispatching.

On the Tank Linking tab, use to select the tanks to link and designate one or all tanks as a Parent. When a tank is flagged as a Parent, the creation of an order for the Parent tank will generate orders for all linked tanks. If an order already exists for a linked tank, an additional order is not created. If an order exists for a tank flagged as a Parent, but none for the linked tanks, orders are created for the linked tanks only.

When using Customer Service to schedule orders, linked tanks will be identified by the linked tank icon. Be aware that tanks that are part of a manifold can be selected in Tank Linking but are not available on the Customer Service screen.

Select Parent on all tanks to allow orders to be created for all linked tanks regardless of the tank selected to create an order. Be aware that tanks that are part of a manifold can be selected in Tank Linking but are not available on the Customer Service screen.
